Ultra secret room?

So i just deafeated mom in a challegne and instead of picknig the trophy,i saw a huge crack in the wall.I found 4 altars.I picked the one with jump button.Then suddenly carrion queen and gurdy jr appeared.AND ITS JUST GOING ON FOREVER!!!Its like i have to fight every boss in the game,because i can assure you i've been thorugh all of them.

Has this happened to anyone?

Yes.

The Boss Rush room is theorized at present to only appear if you reach and defeat Mom in around 20 minutes (the timer icon between stages you've noticed).

Aye,it's an special room u can get up to 2 extra-items.The 1st is one of the 4 you chose and the 2nd is random generated after defeating all "Boss-Waves".
Only go to this room if you have either enough Hearts/Spirithearts/Eternalhearts/"Shadowhearts" or port yourself outside with "Fool" after picking up one Item.

Assuming you're not on Hard, a lot of the bosses will drop hearts after defeat (nevermind the adds they spawn too), so it shouldn't be too hard to last through it. That said, yes; compared to the reward being only two items it's not exactly the safest option to jump in every time.

The best bet to get through all of them is to have some kind of flying item, it really helps you avoid attacks and quickly pick up hearts. And it definitely feels like it goes on forever! XD

Yeah of course this i only for softcore.
But jumping in with just 1-2 "normal Heartcontainer" might be suicide as well.
Dmg+Shootspeed is necessary!
