Fight Isaac and Blue Baby

So after you have beaten satan how does the game continue? Or better: How to fight the one mentioned in the caption? I haven't played much of the original still i thought the devil was a bypass to not fight isaac? How can i get in the chest? He climed in it three times now (2 moms heart and one satan) but i always get the ending sequence....

Dunno if it's changed in this version, but to get to isaac, you have to go into the light after beating mom, NOT through the devil door down to sheol. To get to blue baby, you need to beat mom, take the photo(passive item), go to heaven, beat isaac, then go to the chest(without the photo the game ends like normal). You can only do this after beating the game a certian number of times(can't remember how many though).

oh ok i haven't noticed any light yet after the heart fight (maybe i am blind) so i guess i have to continue going there. Ty

I think the light only shows up after unlocking It Lives. Otherwise, if an angel room shows up instead of a devil room after the fight you can go to the cathedral early

hmm okay so after beating mom's foot or whatever it is called i got a new room were i could fight like 20 bosses in a row (2 at a time) for 2 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ items, that was a waste of time :P

however after beating mom's heart there is not always a room to go to which is pretty dissapointing. I made it to hell once this far and my spiders ate the devil :P but i was only once in the cathedral and my setup was so ♥♥♥♥♥♥ i did not survive long.

However is it just me or did they make the game much easier? In the normal isaac (ok i haven't played it for long) I wasen't even able to beat mom in the first fight and now in most runs (especially if i radom azarzel) it is very easy to go there and beat her...

I've completed the Cathedral twice today and 100%-ed the last game, so I know all about it.

Blue Baby can be found in the Chest (although I'm not 100% on this in this version), which is accessed by defeating Isaac in the cathedral whilst holding the polaroid. The Polaroid is unlocked by defeating Isaac 4 times, who becomes available permanently after you've defeated Mom's Heart 8 times.

Unless you're lucky. Whenever you 'spawn' an angel room after the Mom's Heart fight, you'll gain access to the Cathedral (where Isaac is), without actually having to beat Mom's Heart 8 times in total. The way to get into the angel room? I'm not really sure. But as far as I know, everything I run a perfect Mom's Heart (so taking no damage), there seems to be a greater chance for it to appear.

I'm not completely sure about Blue Baby, but I'm 100% confident on the Polaroid and Isaac, as my save file screen displays half of a polaroid, seen that I've completed 2 Cathedral runs.

So yeah, that's how.

P.S.: The devil is NOT the way to get there. Once you've beaten Satan the game ends, but will trigger a different 'ending state', which means that you'll have to beat both Blue Bady and Satan with all characters (which is going to be fun with Eden... :\).

so you tell me that on the file where i beat satan i cant get to isaac any more? cause before i beat him there was a counter on moms heart (in the loading file thingy) but now there is just a strange wall or something....

there is a new item like the poloroid, called the negative, which will let you go down one more floor below sheol

You can stil beat Isaac after you've defeated Satan. That's no problem. Satan however can be accessed differently, namely through a devil room (or defeating Mom's Heart 8x all over again).

I really like the idea of the negative. It's really cool. Never been there yet, though. Gotta kill some more Satan! :D
