Cain not unlocking.

I already had 55+ pennies 3 times. Didn't unlock cain. What is going on?

Are you on a challenge? If so you can't unlock things that way.

Last one was a challenge, but im pretty sure i already had 55+ in a run. I'm gonna check on a run.

I had 7 heart containers, and 4 spririt hearts a different parts on a run. I didn't unlock Maggy or Lazareth. I wasn't on a challenge, but I am on a Mac. It's probably a bug, but I want to play as different characters. Please help.

Same stuff on 1.01 version, got dollar (99 coins) and received nothing :). May be it's bug, may be it's not.

Maggy and Lazarus unlocks though worked fine for me

Make sure you aren't on a challenge or seeded run, other than that I don't know.

Tip: Don't start game as Challange, or Seeded Run.
What to do:
1.Pick Any Char.
2.Get 55 Penies, and Hold them, when you reach 55 pennies , you get unlocked Cain.

Unlocked Isaac in general run mode by collecting all 55 coins

I was well above 55 money when I unlocked Cain. Do be sure you've collected 55 coins in the run and not just 55 money with those nickles and dimes.

Make sure that you have disabled all mods, I had the same problem because I had a mod installed and active.
After disabling the mod I was able to unlock the characters.

Mods weren't an issue back when this thread was made.

Still, to clarify, on AB+ and Repentance, mods prevent unlocks only if used before the first Mom kill on that save. They prevent nothing at all once the Womb is unlocked.

True, but that's more because of what they technically do than just being mods.
