Great fun; but what happened to the music?

I'm really enjoying the remake but i have to say that the new soundtrack is pretty sub-par,compared to the original.

Not trying to sound like a hipster/etc, (though I am surprised to say that the music was produced by someone else)but the music really just feels like background music that I hardly even notice. None of the songs seem memorable at all, and the melodies don't really fit the theme? The music just feels out of place.

Anyone else feeling this way?

Oh hells yes! Danny did a beyong asskicking job on the music for the original. Rebirth's music is supremely lackluster in camparison.

no clue, was wondering the same, had an awesome soundtrack, not this sedate repetitive loop that i'm getting 95% of the time, music off.

yeah the need the original sound curve back, and the monster sounds, mom sounds too young to be the mom in this game. :/ and the monsters dont sound the same at all.

i get that this was supposed to be a new game but it needs the original sound to be an option, id pay $3 just for that IMHO

I think the music in Rebirth is more atmospheric. Yes, BOI had excellent tracks and even on their own they are really nice to listen to. But when in game, I like these tracks more tbh. They really add up to the atmosphere and make it an eerie and very pleasent experience.
