Whats the Pause Screen code for? letters and numbers

when you pause, the upper left gives letters and numbers, almost like Megaman games did. What for? pls explain

Might be the seed, like I've been seeing some places on the forums. But I don't know where to put them

Is there a BoI:Rebirth wiki up yet?
I'm really curious about that code on the pause screen. Almost seems like the ones used in old games to continue with a certain amount of items/powerups ect

The seed determines the layout of the level, enemies, and items. It's there pretty much entirely for the sake of competing with someone.

Basically, you're guarenteed the same run over and over if you keep entering the same seed.

it's a seed so you can share the same run with someone else or replay a dungeon that you liked previously.

when selecting a character you should see something along the lines of "press tab to enter seed" and that's where you can enter someone else's seed.

it'll just generate the levels the same.
