Golden Skull Key? What does it do?

I just found a golden skull key and it made a strange unlocking noise, what does it do? Thanks

I've gotten this too and wondered.

It seems to unlock a door, but not show up in your key count.

Not sure what the point is of that, yet.

Golden key does the same thing it did in the original. If you're talking about the other one, the pick-up text explains it.

In my opinion, it has worse graphics.
And don't say that the filter makes it has the Flash graphics again, because it really doesn't.

The golden key is from the original. In this game also a golden bomb has been added, which does the same thing for bombs; unlimited bombs that floor. Why didn't they do that with golden hearths. Unlimited hearths for that floor. Tss. Instead you get some coins
