Sound Effects Issue with 5.1 Surround Sound
When playing the game with my 5.1 surround sound speakers I can only hear the sound effectrs (tears, monsters, bombs, ect) from my rear speakers and it is real faint. The music only plays from my front speakers so when I play all I can hear is music and faint sfx sound. Even if I turn the music off and have sfx up all the way its hard to hear. I have tried reconfiguring my sound drivers and tried setting my speakers to stereo and nothing seems to work. Any one else having this issue or any help would be nice.

I've been having similar trouble as well. Music playing in the front and(very clearly in my case) sound effects in the back. Even having everything play in only the front speakers would be better than this.

Ah, that explains why the music sounded so loud and the sound effects so low.

So +1, I have the same problem, please fix it!

Same problem. :/

Yep, same here. Music only plays from front middle speaker, sound-effects only play from rear right speaker.

Only thing i have found to work is switching the speaker set up in Realtek audio manager to 'stereo', but then, that kind of defeats the purpose of me having a 5.1 surround sound hooked up to my computer.

Really hope they fix it, I don't really want to have to keep switching between stereo and 5.1 every time, I've already forgotten to switch back to 5.1 once so far.

I've also found that even with the music set to 1 bar it is still pretty loud and with the SFX set to full i can barely hear it.

Can confirm same issue with 5.1 surround. Exactly as described as OP

Just searched as to why I hear no (or very faint) SFX. Yeah I am in the same boat as you guys.
