How to save?
This is likely a stupid question, but how do you save? I assumed saving would be automatic, but I tried exiting and reentering the game, and I can only start a new run and not resume. Is this just a glitch, or did I miss something?
Thanks!

EDIT: it appears to have been just a glitch, as the auto-save works now :)

Yeah I had something similar happen to me. I beat mom and unlocked achievements but my save dissapeared.

Probably not automatic save. You might have to do it manually.

this is a roguelike game, you cant save, you do one run until you die, then you try again from the beginning in a new randomly generated run

Edit: apparently you can now save your runs, nice feature

My last game was saved, i had to exit the game because of the keyboard bug, and then when I re-launched it I could continue where I left.

with the last game there wasn't a save feature. Your achievements and unlocked stuff stays saved, but you can't continue from the middle of a game. It's a one playthrough type of thing, where you always try to do better the next time through

Yup, just tried it again, and now it works :)
FYI people wondering, there's no manual save, it's an auto-save.

YES! YOU CAN SAVE! Just press esc and exit the game. Next time you start the program, you can continue from that room.
Oh this is good to know I thoughtyou can only save/resume when you stsart a floor, didn't know it auto saves after each room.

It's auto-save...at the start of every floor during a run (so if it crashes or something you'll go back there - provided the save doesn't disappear, which is a bug) as well as at the end of the run. Pressing esc and manually exiting also appears to save the current state exactly (at least when exiting outside of a room with enemies). Of course, saving mid-run is a new feature for rebirth that wasn't in the original (the original only saved unlocks and basic stats). Useful if you're tight on time or have some other reason to stop playing all of a sudden mid-run.
