The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth

The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth

8GB of RAM recommended. Really???
I'm looking forward to this game and i'm sure it will be great like the original Isaac was but the recommended system requirement is 8GB of RAM.
Really??? it looks and plays like a Super Nintendo game, that's no bad thing but the requirements seem a bit silly when other more complicated and better looking games like Dark Souls 2 only require 4 GB.

That's just a "safe" number they say so they don't get idiots with no ram spamming their support page, lot's of games ask for more ram than they need. If you can run Dark Souls 2, you can run this. :P

Since it says minimum of 2 GB RAM, i guess i won't have any trouble playing it with my 4GB.
I hope so ;D

I have 4GB of RAM too so i hope it'll run ok. The original game ran like ♥♥♥♥ for me because it was made in Flash.

Do you think if you did the game and worked on it, Would it be less then what Ed put? You should understand Rebirth is not a couple of new bosses and some new items, It's the WHOLE game + A LOT of stuff, A whole game is not just bosses and rooms, It's stuff that make it take that much space like the new lighting system, Or things like those little files you can kill, Or the coop system, A lot of stuff and codes, What you see on screen might be less then 8GB, But behind the sences with all the codes and stuff it's actually a lot
That's quite unlikely. I highly doubt the game will fill even 2 gb of ram while it's running.

No worries, good sir, I'll just chalk it up to the hype destroying your ability to think.
It's almost completely destroyed my ability to sleep. :P

I will ply this on my laptop that is 4 gb ram and trust me it will run fine
and you need to understand that the game's graphic does not mean ( lel should run on a toaster) its with the engine also not just the graphics.
But thats just a safe requirement and minimum is 2 recommended is 8 so the game actually needs 2 or 4.

Now, imagine they blew it up. Imagine the engine is actually terribly unoptimized and the game really needs 8GB of RAM to be merely playable (at ~15 fps), and all the previews they have shown were running on top-notch PCs. YOUD BE SO MAD BROS \o/

That's my fear. The original ran like garbage even though my rig far exceeds recommended system requirements.

Honestly I'm more afraid of temporary incompatibility bugs that would prevent me from playing at all for a few days/weeks (until they get fixed), because those are much less reproducible without a wide beta-testing panel of hardware and software. The game was expressedly designed with optimization purposes as a primary goal, and Nicalis already gave us great, perfectly functional and well-optimized games in the past, so that's not what I'd fear most.

But still, we'd all be soooo mad :D

But than i think it runs on PS4 in 60 Frames and on the Vita! ♥♥♥♥ i dont have the best PC but i can play a Bioshock Infinite with 30-50 Frames, so this 16Bit game have to run, if not give the game to someone who can program better than this guys, maybe a blind monkey could do a better job. :P

I have 4GB Ram, 2,1GHz Dualcore and a nVidia GTX 275 so i freaking hope it runs in 60 Frames.....
