Raw liver?

Gonna put this here too because it has more activity. So I've been playing the original BoI game for 300+ hours now, I have platinum god, and have done and gotten everything. But just now I found an item called raw liver? Has this always been in the game? I swear this is the first time I'm seeing it. I never got it in any of my previous playthroughs, nor have I heard or seen of it on the internet anywhere. Was it just recently added in? Or is it just extremely rare?

It has always been in the game, but it is a rare item and only available in secret rooms.

for some reason, some items are extremely rare for only some people.
Seems as if you're one of these people.

It's a special item, which means if you happen to have another special item they have a %50 chance to be re rolled into another item as you walk into the room thus making them rarer than other items.

Also you can't get platinum god without getting the raw liver, what gives?

Raw Liver - Special item, heals all of your red hearts, +2 red hearts, can only be found in The Secret Room.

How did you get the Platinum God without picking up all the items?

Isaac is glitchy, I got platiunum god without getting fate and golden god when I died at satan with the one up as eve. I suggest go into secret rooms and try to reroll with D6.

Also know what else is funny? I got Dr and epic fetus more times then spoon bender and cupids arrow combined.

When you have 1 other special item its about 75%.
Raw Liver (and Pyro) are the only 2 items that have the 50% chance in a playthrough not to be in the secret room pool at all.

I got Mom's Knife more times than spoon bender and brimstone.
