Games similar to The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth.

The Binding of Isaac.

also look up the tag "rogue-like". There you will find what you seek.

A Wizard's Lizard and Our Darker Purpose are similar enough.

I'd highly suggest looking into Nuclear Throne. It's not quite the same style of game, but it's got random levels, permenant death, plenty of crazy weapons, different characters with unique abilities, etc.

Nuclear Throne and A Wizard's Lizard, yes. Of the two, I especially recommend Nuclear Throne.

nuclear throne for sure, been playing that this week and it's fun.
also risk of rain is a bit similar. random pickups and stuff.

FTL: Faster than Light, Nuclear Throne, Paranautical Activity, Sword of the Stars: The Pit, Risk of Rain, Rogue Legacy, and Spelunky might interest you. They're not quite the exact same as Isaac but they all have similar elements to them.

FTL and Spelunky are probably my favorites. Rogue Legacy and Risk of Rain are good. Paranautical Activity and SotS: The Pit are okay. I haven't really played much Nuclear Throne but from what I've played it's pretty fun.

Risk of Rain is basically a clone of the BoI RNG, except in a platformer/shooter setting. Highly recommended.

It also has co-op (online), but it feels fundamentally flawed- When one person pulls ahead, they just stay ahead, and as the other player drops behind, they get less and less, dropping them farther, etc. But as single-player, it's a great one.

This fella knows whats up. I'm partial to FTL: Faster Than Light.
I'm irked at PA because of the devs and promises not fulfilled, but its still a pretty good game. Risk of rain just got an update, and its a dificult game also. never played NT or Spelunky, but I hear good things. Honestly I'd reccomend FTL. Its an amazing game and its just as dificult (if not more imo) than Isaac due to its RNG-ness. I love it as much as isaac though. These 2 games and the elder scrolls are my all time favs :D

I was trying to keep it close "the same general gameplay as BoI" myself. I like most of those games as well, but I don't think they're all "similar to BoI" per se.

indeed, I suppose I clasify BoI as "difficult" "rogue-like" "addicting" and did I mention "addicting"?
I know it might not be much compaired to others but between BoI and FTL Ive sunk ~ 400 hours of my life into them. but yes, in terms of actual gameplay, I think you were closer to the point than I :)

It's alright though, I definitely agree that both BoI and FTL are amazing games.

Our Darker Purpose is basicly a clone of BoI :D

Abyss Odyssey has the similar structure but different gameplay.

I'm surprised Full Mojo Rampage wasn't mentioned. it basically has the same shooter type gameplay as Binding of Isaac but supports 4 players.
