The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth

The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth

Sandbox mode?
I doubt Nicalis or Ed will actually do this, but I think it would be awesome if there was a sandbox mode in the game in which you could experiment with crazy item combos just for fun.

You obviously could not get achevements with it, and you could only use previously unlocked items. I personally think it would be a cool reward for 100%ing the game.

Any thoughts?

You could also do wacky challenge runs for yourself as well. Get a set few items, set some rules and conditions, and then play the run.

That would be a fun mode, and an awesome reward for RPG.

Some people would probably dislike it since it would necessitate clearing Lost first.

Maybe it could just be a mode you have at the beginning, but you are restricted to the items you have unlocked... that way clearing the Lost is only necessary for using his unlockables in sandbox, but not other items/characters.

Now it needs an updated version so we can play with Afterbirth items as well. I currently cannot launch anything with it. I think it's because of Afterbirth.

while you wait for that to work with afterbirth the basement seed is basiclly free play mode.

Again, I can't play the basement seed. I try to launch my scenario, then it fails.

This sounds like a really fun idea, almost reminds me of an awesome mode from Kirby Superstar on the SNES where you could pick from all the available powers and do a bunch of boss waves and such. This sounds like a wonderful feature to add to the game especially for newbies to get the hang of some rare or not so obvious combos

I think it's possible to acheive this same thing using the cheat engine. You can change pretty much whatever paramiters you want on there including hp/items/unlocks/whatever.
