Binding of Isaac Slow when computer isn't plugged in
Hi, My computer is having a bit of trouble when running Binding of Isaac : rebirth, When I try to open it and it's plugged in it runs just fine, but when it isn't plugged in, it's almost as if it's been put in slow motion, my computer should be able to run it, considering It's an NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX i7 2.3ghz 8 core prossecor with 8 RAM (HP envy). I don't think that the problem is in the power management, because other games work just fine off charge, if anyone could help, I'd be really greatful. Thanks!

Isaac is odd, a well known LP'er gets slowdown when a message from skype comes through... And he's not running on a bad rig either.
Try looking into other people having problems with slowdown and try to find a fix there, no matter what the cause/trigger on their end is (unless it's something specific like slowdown when starting up programm X, solved by not opening programm X).

That doesn't really help -,-, I've already googled it and didn't find anything, that's why I started a discussion, so that someone could help me out. Thank you

I've had this happen to me, too. Taking the game out of fullscreen and back in solves the problem for me at least.

Sorry, that didn't do anything

Many laptops go into battery saving mode when they are not plugged in. This may slow down the CPU and GPU, make the screen darker, slow down diskspeed, etc.

But the thing is, other games(such as How 2 Survive, which is almost definitely harder to run than Binding of Isaac) run just fine off charge, I'm pretty sure it's the game being told to be slow by something or something along those lines

Open the geforce experience and turn off BatteryBoost of just drag the slider to 60fps.

Could you please expand on this? I don't know how to disable BatteryBoost, and I can't see a slider

When you open the geforce experience go to the preferences tab and BatteryBoost should be one of the categories on the left. Just uncheck the box next to BatteryBoost or move the slider beneath it all the way to the right.
