Need strategies for Samson.

Any advice for the character samson?

blood lust give dmg buff for the current floor evry time you take damage,

- use sacrifice room and cursed room,
- active item that give dmg for life are good,
- keep in mind that after 6 times hit you wont get buff any further for the current floor,
- as your buff provide additive dmg, items that give multiplicative dmg buff synerrgise well

- as you'll be interested in intentionnally getting hit to get buff, any item that will boost any heart drop/refill or your regen is VERY good with blood lust

- as you take dmg you wont get much access to devil/angel room, you can get good runs without it, as blood lust is strong.

I would say to try and stack Soul or Black Hearts as often as possible so you can take a few hits in order to build up your damage without risking the Devil Room (because some items there are just too good to pass up on). Mostly you're looking for the Mid-Late game damage in order to just flatten the game, it's the early game that you want to be careful of though. Do I want to take a chance and hope I get Brimstone/Mom's Knife? Or do I want to take damage and run through the current floor and hope that the Item Room or the boss drops something that'll get me through the game?

But definitely take the Curse Rooms as often as possible. You might find something worth taking the hits for AND also build up some damage for the rest of the floor.

I maxxed out Samson and I did it by taking no deals with the devil (Unless it is something REALLY good, I still did deals with the angel though) because he needs as much health as possible. If you have max hearts and you got The Wafer (Why you take angel route) you will reach max damage very easily. Being realistic you will probably get some damage upgrades in the angel/golden rooms so you will already be at 3+ dmg in the depths with a large damage increase when you get hurt and lots of health. Child´s heart trinket and Little Chad as well for getting more heart drops.
