Family picture
what difference does it make after you beat mom if you choose the distorted family picture or the normal colored one? I don't seem to notice anything different

When at 1 Heart if you take any damage the Polarized photo will give you a shield for about 4 secs and the Negative will do a Black Soul heart necronomicon effect. Without spoiling anything the photos help you continue on in a run.

also
normal one:
Allows entrance into The Chest after beating Isaac in the Cathedral by touching the chest.

distorded one:
Allows entrance into the Dark Room after beating Satan in Sheol by touching the chest.

so if you want to play the chest room/ the dark room you should pick the polaroid/ the negative and choose to go to the cathedral/ the sheol
