Tiny Planet - Big Disappointment

So you get an item that makes tears rotate around you like some sort of orbital shield, man that's freaking amazing and looks really cool! Sadly by itself it's pretty hard to use without tear upgrades, so you pick it up every time to see what kind of synergies it has with other items, only to find out that EVERYTHNIG SUCKS.

Ludovico technique let's you control one big tear, what does Tiny Planet do? No multiple tears or a protective ring, it just makes sure you can't control your tear any more, and you have the limited range of little planet effectively making you totally useless. Have any throwing item or bomb tears? Too bad you just throw everything in your own face, get ready to kill yourself! Wait Zero Gravity sound like it should be perfect right? No wait it just makes it even harder to directly attack your enemies. Basically any item that changes direction of your tears save for pure Homing Tears becomes chaotic. And so it goes for EVERY SINGLE item in the game safe for Technology and Brimstone which are the only good synergies this item has apart from, you know, just upgrading the heck out of your tear stat with pills and the like, but where is the fun in that?

But honestly, who thought Brimstone needed an inpenetratable shield as synergy while all other synergies are made of suck? It really is bothering me, why would they even put such a unique item in the game with so much potentional and do compeltely nothing with it? I really hope they add more synergies in Afterbirth because the more and more I experiment with the new items in Rebirth the more I notice many different disappointments.

Sorry rant over, I guess I just had too many long runs where eventually Little Planet showed up as a wolf in sheeps clothing and completely ♥♥♥♥ed me over. What is your guys opinion on Little Planet synergies? Do you have any other synergies that disappointed you a lot? I know there are more people disappointed with the synergies in Rebirth

Yeah that's true, and believe me I think Little Planet is fun with those kind of upgrades, but those are basically just pure tear upgrades save for the Piercing effect on Death's Touch. There's just no other 'unique' tear effect that it can work together with save for the Brimstone I just mentioned.

Real talk though? Brimstone has a bunch of fun synergies. It's already overpowered but at least you get some variation. I'd like to see something similar for little planet I guess.

I know of a few neat synergies with little planet, Little planet + lasers or brimstone for example.

Some items arent say "good" if you pick them up out of the blue, but combined they sure can change playstyles and bring destruction.

Edit: i was lazy, didnt read through you post properly, also.. lump of coal and little planet is a pretty neat combo

Hm, true.. it is a wierd item.. i usually stay away from it myself, so you are right, it isnt a good item with the exception for the combined ones you mentioned.

Ipecac and Tiny planet seems like a fun combination of pure horror..

Little planet lel. Tiny planet is pretty good with piercing and maybe guppy? Otherwise yeah, it's relatively bad.

I'm sorry you misunderstand. I edited the title after reading his reply, I've been saying 'little planet' the entire time instead of 'tiny planet'. And he corrected me properly.

Try Tiny Planet with Lump of Coal. It gets extremely ridiculous since your tears have max range and won't hit walls or such
