Torn Photo
No idea how good the community is for this game, but when I got the torn photo and your tears go up and isaac cries more. It moved me, legit. :(

I actually agree, the game is really fun, but as soon as you think about it seriously it is pretty macabre

THinking about it, it's a picture of him and his mom. Torn in half, and it upsets Isaac. Now I'm wondering if Isaac still loved his mom but had to kill her because of God? Hmmm

It is a matter of kill or be killed, I don't think he had much choice in the matter. If you have seen the little cutscene between the floors there is one where Isaac hugs the mothers leg and she keeps pushing him away. So it is likely that he still loved his mother yes

Yeah, I noticed that. Along withthe one when he runs out of toilet paper. He freaks out, maybe because he was scared to call for his mom?

Who knows really, I am pretty sure Isaac has some kind of social anxiety. Making his mother the only one close to him which is sad.

I think he was crying because the other half was his father. He misses him.

Also, bare in mind that a good chunk of the game's story takes place in Isaac's head. Who is to say that Isaac's mother wants to sacrifice him to God. Think about it. Isaac reads the Bible. Who is to say that he got the idea of a parent wanting to sacrifice him to God because he read that story in there and noticed that his name was the same as that Isaac. *Wink*

It's also kind of a spoiler really, since your supposed to find out about all of that after the chest and not from the start.
