Top 10 Worst Items

With now 3 lists of top 5 worst items, i think i finally know what the worst items in the game are

10. Aries: Now you could say this goes great with items like Midus's touch or Holy Mantle, but other than that it's pretty bad, you need to charge at full speed to do damage to enemies, only problem is that it doesn't do to much damage and it doesn't prevent contact damage.

9. Soy Milk: This has great synergies, combine with crickets body, lump of coal, and scorpio it's great. But chances of running into those are low. Soy Milk maxs out your tears so you can fire like an assault rifle, but greatly decreases damage. It also has high knockback which could be good for charging enemies, but i much rather go with Thin odd mushroom or Sad Onion

8. Skatole: Prevents flies from attacking you, but you can get hurt if you run into them. If you were the King of Flies it would be good for the basic flies. Also not as high on the list because it can be useful on Lost runs

7. Tiny Planet: It has some good synergies, but not a lot, i can only recommend this if you have giant tears like Polyphemus, but without that, it's so hard to hit enemies with it, an easy way to hit enemies is to shoot backwards when near enemies, but i don't want to get close to enemies and risk taking a hit.

6. Isaac's Heart: This item is bad, you can get free Blood Bank and Demon Judgement's and i think free Curse Rooms, other than that it's so bad. What it does is it spawns a familiar behind you and if it gets hit, you get hit. That seems good but the problem is that it doesn't stay close to you at all, and if you're in a room with enemies that charge you, with rocks in it, they are just gonna run into the heart and you'll get hurt, and if you want to avoid damage, just get Mini Mush or Holy Mantle

5. The Key Pieces: Now this one you may say why? Well it doesn't do anything. You use it to unlock the door in the Chest/Dark Room to fight Mega Satan. You may have fun in the fight but you don't get anything out of it except the 16th ending. Maybe if in a update they make the Mega Satan fight count for something, don't bother.

4. Dr. Fetus: So sad to see an item that was so good turn so bad. This item replaces your tears with bombs, that seems cool right, the only problem is that it does less than bombs you drop on the ground, any damage upgrades you get don't help it. Only way to get any use out of it is bomb upgrades like Tear Bombs or Mr. Mega

3. Isaac's Tears: Now first time you pick this up you're like " Oh my God this is like Tammy's head that recharges every 6 shots. Only problem is that it seems to do less damage than your normal tears. It has the same stats as your tears though, so if your range is low, it wont go anywhere. Much rather go with Tammy's Head, at least if my range is low, it won't go anywhere

2. Cursed Eye: Charge it up and you can shoot 3 tears. Only problem is that if you're in the middle of charging a shot and get hit, you will be teleported away. Just think if you're fighting a boss and it's almost dead and then a bullet comes from out of the blue while you're charging, and BAM you get teleported and have to start all over again, not fun.

Dishonorable Mentions: Abel, The Poop, Crack the Sky, Blood Rights, D10, Breath of Life, Telepathy for Dummies, My Reflection,Cain's Other Eye, and Brother Bobby

1: Butterbean: No surprise. This item gives knockback and can automatically recharge. I really don't see any good use for this item except early in the game for like Fistula cause he changes path, also the Boom Flies, maybe if it did some damage it woulden't be extremly terrible

isaac's heart (but it can be useful in very rare situations)
butter bean; isaac's tears; tnt, the poop (useless spacebar items)
tiny planet (yes it can be great with lump of coal, brimstone and some other items, but mostly it's garbage)
explosivo (extremely bad with low fire rate and because most of the enemies can get rid of this explosive shots)
missing no. (maybe it's just me but i hate this item when it happens on the run that I want to win on the streak for example, it's 99% that you will die if you have to complete 3-4+ floors with it because it's a huge chance that at some point you'll get isaac's heart or soy milk of whatever and you won't be able to complete the floor. of course you can get great items as well but anyway)

I feel like Tiny Planet does not belong on such list.
It is not the kind of item that gets you a good start in the game.
On floor 1-3 it usually is garbage.
But later on it is getting so much more potential, had some of my best runs with it.

Bob's brain is legit, especially early on. 400 or so damage plus poison. It is way easier to use safely now than when the game came out.

If it fired like Lil Chubby, sure.

But it fires randomly after it spawns, which makes it incredibly hard to aim.


I fully agree with Tiny Planet/Isaac's Heart/Soy Milk/Cursed Eye. All of those are items that I would restart an Eden run with, even if I was going for win streaks, because they're so frustrating and unpleasant to play with.

I fully agree with Tiny Planet/Isaac's Heart/Soy Milk/Cursed Eye. All of those are items that I would restart an Eden run with, even if I was going for win streaks, because they're so frustrating and unpleasant to play with.

It's actually not random, it has a time delay upon spawning and a smaller time delay upon returning on a missed shot. It used to be an instant fire and was a lot harder to manage. Now it is very usable and can actually carry weaker runs.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Strange Attractor. When you have curse of the blind and get that by accident, it can turn a great run into a pain in the ***.

Also, the new Pause Button is crap. The pause is SO short you will literally miss it if you blink.

Well yeah. If you've got a good activated item, you might not want it, but it's certainly not useless. That said, I do take Forget Me Now with Isaac sometimes. If my build is already strong, I'll ditch the D6 for more items.

Also, Forget Me Now in the Chest is great. Give me all the items!!

Pause can last a long time. It's rng. (I'm assuming you know firing/charging tears/moving ludo or marked unpauses it) Two charges of it let me kill Ultra Greedier with a bff sac dagger and never firing a shot.

My worst ten items might be, in no particular order.

1. Missingno .Very easy to breakfast yourself or get a useless build for a whole floor. Its in the shop pool after using a chaos solely to screw you over for breaking the game.

2. The D reroll stats/ The D reroll rocks/ D reroll enemies.

3. Glowing hour glass. Absolutely worthless after its nerf

4. Breath of life. 100 percent useless. The most useless item in isaac history.

5. Black judas baby. Like transdimensional baby, but worthless.

6. Item magnet. Another item just to screw up people trying to break the game.

7. Sad bombs. Yes they are powerful, very much so. But they tank the fps so badly.

8. Scatter bombs. Instead of waiting a few seconds for my bombs to destroy something, now I wait twice as long. Rip Boss rush.

9. Book of revelations. Yes, I wanted to turn a possible damage upgrade, extra hp for devil deal, or some sort of cool effect item or transformational item into an orbital. I know this is a good item, but I hate it and I hate fighting the horsemen.

10. Lil chub. By the point I'm there I'm usually on soul hearts, not red hearts. Gimpy is like a direct upgrade since it can sometime pay out soul hearts.


I know theres way worse like my reflection, bob's brain, issac's heart, marked, tower curse, glass cannon, ect but they always get all the attention.
