thats based on how you look at it, it's a mod so if you don't want it then don't install it, i prefer having it over having to look up the wiki everytime

Figuring out what it does is one thing. Having to remember that for literally a thousand items after doing that figuring out once is quite another.

why ask other people to tell you how to feel?
if you're curious, download and see how you feel with playing it.
there's mod config options (if you get the mod config menu mod, clean) that let you customize nuances about it.

if i wanted to spoil everything, I could just make curse of the blind not a thing by making the item description thing show what item it is even if i can't see more than a question mark,
some would call that unfun, some would say it's just removing annoyance out of one of the most RNG, reset-heavy roguelike games out there.

If you dont like playing with it at all and prefer just remembering what everything does, then just don't download the mod.

develop your own opinion about it, see how you feel and whether you prefer it or not
I started out preferring to learn it all but having a roommate that plays on my pc who 100%ed afterbirth, he very much likes not having to pull the wiki up for every 3rd item, and honestly it's just QOL for me at this point.

You dont even know what the item does when you pick it, so expect to play hundreds of runs just to know like half of the items

For me, game is unplayable withouth the mod

The mod doesn't reveal what the pills do until you use them, and there will also come a time when you yourself will remember what the items do, so it's not "cheating"

There's an option for the mod that allows you to to block it from giving the description for any item until you've picked it up once. Even if you know what all the items do, it's helpful for telling you which items break synergies or override each other.

I personally use it because it just isn't clear what some items do at all. It's just more enjoyable to me with descriptions on.
