Item/Pill/Card Names not popping up bug

Names/descriptions of items, pills etc not appearing when I pick up or use the item, it's really annoying and makes it hard to know what pill I just ate :( I disabled all mods and validated game files and it's still happening. I have popups enabled. The names appear when I start the game but after a while they stop showing up and I need to full restart the game to get them back temporarily it sucks please help

I have this issue as well. I noticed it only happens if you hold down the "R" key for too long. I also noticed its not instant, but slowly after each reset, the text slowly drifts downward until its no longer on the screen.

I choose to believe that, if this wasn't intentional outright, it deliberately wasn't fixed because it only happens to people doing things they wanted to discourage anyway.

I highly doubt this is the case considering the R key has been a feature for years and there are unlocks tied to it

Rechecked the bug. It only occurs during challenges. I hope this helps.

Yep that would make sense because I only noticed the bug once I started playing ultra hard. Annoying

Was able to complete it luckily thanks to some good items and charm of the vampire, good luck to you too :D

This occurs outside of challenges too. I'm trying to do the "Eat 5 gulp pills" challenge so obviously a lot of time is spent as Laz eating the starting pill then resetting if it's not Gulp.

Hello, I have a question, what dlc do you use repentance + or repentance because if it is repentance + it may be because of the beta, it has also happened to me and other bugs so maybe I will try playing only repentance
