The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth

The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth

TBoI Wiki is getting destroyed
Apparently some rogue mod is deleting the entire wiki right now... Dude is going insane writing stuff like
"Did you know that Fandom staff (Kirkburn) is removing actual good edits on the french wiki? Also French Sandwich, go on the official wiki which is on wikі.gg and stop supporting Donald Trump, you're omega cringe"

Some guys apparently just want to ruin other peoples experience because of their own political agenda. This is TBoI, nobody here gives a crap about this ♥♥♥♥. Leave the wiki alone and ♥♥♥♥ off! Who gives a crap if somebody is a Trump supporter? YOU are the menace here.

Uhh its the F A N D O M wiki you are linking, this is not the "real" wiki, rather a mistake left behind due to arbitrary rules which prevented it from simply being deleted with the move to wiki gg.

You should support the people working to dismantle the old wiki, so users can find the newer, better one instead.

Well, as mentioned in your quote, the .gg wiki is good enough for the job and seems unaffected.

Fandom is a notorious wikifarm site. It has unfriendly and restrictive UI, intrusive ads and site elements, poor performance and a bizarre administrative overreach where articles could get altered or added to wikis without any consideration for communities or their wiki managers.

Quite a few notable wikis have tried dismantling or separating from Fandom in the past for these very reasons. Bulbapedia and the Minecraft Wiki are good examples of that.

No idea why someone is adding nonsense to the deleted pages, but that can be mostly attributed to Fandom's low barrier of entry. I've seen modded content attempted to be added to the Fandom wiki as if it was official.
Since there's so many media wikis attached to Fandom there's lots of random, young users with accounts that can edit and add useless content.

I'd look into supporting this change because honestly, splitting from Fandom is important for any community that wants a functional, community-driven resource that is secure, reliable and user-friendly.
It may not sound like a lot, may seem benign to you but Fandom really is just not good enough anymore, and it only gets worse with time.

So its like Fextralife? Thx, but i really dont care. I just want to google something, click on the first link and have the solution to my question/problem. If the answer to this type of infight is to sabotage and to maliciously delete pages, i dont want to have anyhthing to do with it. I rather stick with the first contender.

Well, that's exactly how Fandom is even the first result on Google.
Buy a bunch of independent wiki hosting services, delete/merge them and still sabotage the wikis themselves with aggressive ads and cross-wiki functionality for money.
There's already lots of drama and infighting within Fandom, but it's mostly community managers and Fandom administrators wrestling for control you don't really see. Or young users vandalising pages.

If you want your solution to a question or problem to be solved by the highest paying bidder while blasting you with ads, sure. Like how Google is cozy with sponsored or AI results.

I'd hope the new wiki is the first result on any search engine but Fandom fights tooth and nail to secure that spot because ad money is all that it cares about above being a helpful resource.

I have Ublock, i dont see ads. The second i see ads is when i move on though. Thats the only thing that apparently as of right now could make me move to another site.

even if you have an adblocker theres all sorts of other bloat on fandom. If it really is so arduous to scroll down to the wiki.gg tboi page instead of the fandom one there are browser addons like Indie Wiki Buddy that will put the non-fandom version of the wiki at the top of google's results if a non-fandom alternative exists.

People have explained why fandom is a bad host of wikis already, if those reasons don't sate your anger about a wiki being destroyed which has its information stored elsewhere then that's a you thing.
Ah...so that explains all the red broken links I've been seeing for a while.

Always the tolerant bunch at work.

So you are just part of the problem? good to know, just don't ask anyone on the forum for help lol because people like you make the community worse.

Seriously, its this toxic attitude which keeps fandom going, it deserves to rot. :steamfacepalm:

"Oh im not affected, so i will make it worse for others", lol.

Honestly, someone should get around to destroying Fandom itself. That'd solve your problem.
