The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth

The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth

Just unlocked "everything is terrible." Description sounds exactly like hard mode. What's the difference?
Should I just be playing on hard mode now?

Here are the effects of Everything is Terrrible, according to the wiki:

The chance of a floor receiving a curse increases.
(in Repentance and Repentance+) The Bulb enemy can appear.
(in Repentance and Repentance+) Unlocks Half Soul Hearts

The list of changes added by hard mode is a little longer, I'll just put the wiki link instead.

Does that still sounds like the same thing to you? :dip:
(Note: Everything is Terrible is a permanent change that applies to both normal and hard mode. For hard mode, this is of course on top of its own changes.)

So it made hard mode even harder? or it just made normal mode more like hard mode?

Both. The whole game became a little harder.

It makes both modes harder, but hard mode rules already change the game enough that it's a more significant change to normal mode than to hard mode. (I do recommend you get used to playing on hard mode though, lots of unlocks only happen on hard mode)

Not that many to be honest, very few compared to the ones that can be done on normal, and most of those hard mode exclusive unlocks are very late game "completionist" concerns.
