This room is complete ass and I hate it with the passion of a thousand solar systems.

i hate it too. i have never not taken damage if i walk through it.

You need pretty ridiculous speed for it. It's a pretty stupid room tbh. I lost a couple runs with the Lost to that room.

Try deploying a bomb and pushing it towards the skull in the center. Should do wonders.

It still doesn't compare to that infuriating room in the Caves with the infinitely shooting statues and the four Walking Hosts.

That room is the actual worst lol. I've died so much in that room to impatience it's embarrassing.

The host room is just one of those tests of patience, I don't think I've struggled too much with it. The spike balls are just annoying as all hell since they don't want to trigger half the time when you try to make them move.

Actually, I remember asking here about how to pass through this room without taking damage a few months ago.
If you're not ridiculously fast, the best solution is to stay close to the center (equidistant to the spikes on each side), to get very close to the spikes so that they start moving without touching you (since you're not in their hitbox yet) and make your way while they are reverting to their position. It's hard to explain with words but that works nearly every time for me and I'm not that worried about this room anymore. For the spikes in the middle with the skull, just do the same thing one either side of the skull while staying close to it. No need for bombs.

Actually, now that I'm comfortable with the room that the OP described, this is one of the rooms that I hate the most now.

I was playing the Lost and hit this room right before the boss room with mom. I had death's touch, monstros lung, abaddon, sin robes, and 9 lives. I lost all 9 lives on that room. I could've unlocked the D100 easily if it weren't for that room.
If you died 9 times at this room without figuring out how to trigger the spikes, you deserved to lose the run.
Walk to them without trying to cross the path. They will trigger and go to the middle. As they are going back to their initial position, you walk and cross the path. Pretty easy.
Also if you are on the lost you can fly over rocks (they cant), what makes it easy.

After playing this game for a long time, I'm starting to think that the devs make them harder to dodge secretly every patch, because I just "went for it" and the blocks started moving before i got next to them, even tho it wasnt like that before
