He doesn't have many pros. He's the first of a handful of characters you get that are just designed to be more challenging. He has 0.1 more speed than Isaac, and a very slightly higher damage multiplier.
His poop spawns a blue fly, so if you pile them all up in the same room and break them all before fighting the boss, you can do a good chunk of damage with all of the extra flies. You can also blow up his poops to use as a bridge across 1-tile gaps like you can with normal rocks.
He can't take red heart damage, so it's easy to get angel/devil deals with him. His devil deals in repentance are discounted from 3 hearts, and instead cost as many soul hearts as they would red hearts with other characters.

Well for one get items like merite and this has a 50% chance to change red hearts to soul hearts there is this demon tail that can do the same thing but you spawn soul hearts but keys spawn more ofton I also suggest abusing things like x rocks as thoese can give you soul hearts

He doesn't require any different skills from the default. He just requires more of them because he's deliberately worse.

Poo synergies and fly synergies work, considering the Poop spawns blue flies and has chances to drop coins. Also, the poo has a small fart parry effect on incoming bullets, you can use it to burst damage some bosses with their own bullets. But yeah, overall ??? isn't v fun to play with unless, like a beginning Isaac run, you just get some decent item drops. Characters like Azazel spoil us.
