Not Unlocking Tainted Characters in Online

This has happened twice now, in where my friend use the cracked key on the door but there's only an item inside instead of the Tainted version.

i think this happens if either someone is playing as a tainted character or already have their tainted character unlocked. It might also depend who's hosting with the previous mentions. i'm not sure of the exact cause but can confirm it's one of these things.

I have been the host both times and I do have the tainted versions already, i'll let them host next time and see then.

I have confirmed that the tainted characters will only appear if the host is currently playing as a character that they have not unlocked their tainted counter part yet. Other players can be playing as tainted characters and it will be fine.
