Problem with movement - sticking in one direction
This issue began very recently, in fact just the last few days. After clicking w,a,s, or d it automatically keeps going in that direction, "sticking". Also there's sometimes a lack of response a times when I press any of those keys altogether. Makes the game relatively unplayable--but for the first week I played it I had no issues at all. I tried installing/reinstalling the game, restarting my computer, checking for updates, but I'm at a loss.

I play it on my laptop, windows HP, and honestly have seen this bug mentioned all over google but without any kind of fix. :/ I love Binding of Isaac, and the bug is so specific, I'd love for a way to continue it.

Usually an issue with a controller of any sort (could also be a trackpad or whatever)

Hey I appreciate the response. But nah, it's my keyboard I use and I use it fine literally everywhere else without any problem. It's specific to when I play this game, and sometimes I have the same issue with other games but not nearly this frequent. When I double tap whatever direction it's going in it stops, but it'll randomly for instance go down without prompting and I have to click down again before it resets to normal.

I meant that a "controller" (gamepad, joystick, ...) overrides a different input (like the keyboard). And is not centered correctly, hence it wants to move in one direction. Usually I'd say unplug every external controller device but since it's a laptop it might also be an internal one, like the track pad, which you obviously cannot unplug.

Could also be a problem with your keyboard.

Either way, it's obviously not an issue with the game but with your laptop since you have it in other games as well.

Laptops usually have a Function (Fn) key next to or near the space bar or Windows Key. What I would recommend doing is disabling the track pad (usually can be done by pushing Fn + F something on your laptop keyboard...like mine it's Fn+F5...the correct F key usually has an image of a track pad on it. Google your laptop and "Fn key" if you can't figure out which one it is) and see if the issue persists (use an external USB mouse in the mean time). If you have an external USB keyboard, try that too and see if it eliminates the drift. Also, be sure you're not doing what I used to do an wresting you wrists on the track pad. Took me a hours to figure out I was causing a problem by doing that :steamfacepalm:

If the problem persists, let me know what you were able to try and I'll see if I can help further. Can you tell I used to work IT help desk? :TheNerd:
