game files just randomly got deleted?

i didnt do anything i just loaded the game as usual and all the mods and data are gone wtf :(
anyone got any idea what happened?

Having a similar issue. A huge chunk of my save file seems to be gone suddenly.

what parts werent gone for you? cus for me literally everything is gone

It looks like it's defaulted to a save from years and years ago where minimal things are cleared with each character. No access to tainted characters and Bethany, Apollyon, Jacob etc. are still locked. A few challenges are cleared but most are not anymore when I used to have all but like 2-3 finished.

Ok, so I was able to solve my problem by going to C:/Users/(my name)/documents/My Games/Binding of Isaac Repentence and deleting the most recent "persistentgamedata1.dat and replacing it with one from a few days ago that works. All you have to do is delete the "'date'.rep_" portion.
