Little Steven achievement not unlocking or what??

This achievement, I think you unlock it by defeating Steven once, but i killed him many times example in boss rushes. How aren't I getting the achievement or am I doing something wrong??

You're supposed to kill it as a boss, in his own boss room.

random after you unlock him as a boss

Steven's unlock is indeed trivial. Beating the Basement floors 40 times isn't a problem, just takes a bit of time. The problem is meeting him.

Technically, Steven is considered as a variant of Gemini, which makes it quite rarer than other bosses on the same floor (similar logic applies to C.H.A.D. as a variant of Chub, Gish as one of Monstro 2, and Triachnid as one of Daddy Long Legs).

If you don't have Repentance, it can only be generated on Basement. If you have Repentance, it can also be generated on Burning Basement.

Now that I think about it, I wonder if beating Steven in a boss room on the Void floor would trigger the unlock. I'm honestly not sure.
