How to access blocked crawl space?

You simply can't, it is trollish on purpose (especially because there was already an acessible item in the room). Or you use moving box/some way to absorb the item, or you can't get it whatsoever.

Can the Forgotten reach it? Have yet to try. Though it looks like it could be just slightly out of reach.

I've heard the Stitches active item can get you in there, but I can't confirm this. The Forgotten can also get it by stretching the chain between the ladder and the bottom level to warp into it.

I'm sure there's other ways too but 99% of the time that little item space is just to make you feel bad.
