"The next time I play the Binding of Isaac I'll succeed"
Your current state of mind will allow an RNG of "worse" "Seeds" and will favor failure towards success.
A though like: "I can do this without getting hit, I can do this with no DMG ups and Healthups of what so ever" will benefit a succes on all the obstacles.
Your mindset seems to be a bit narrow.
As for example Range ups would be Favorable as Assacel, or even a specific combination you didn'T think of.
There's bad runs, there'S worse runs, and yes there are your runs.
So think about it, if you can influence your own experience and do it in the most favorable manner.
Good progress.....

In the chest, game changed and from pathetic damage Eve went to total killing machine. I felt almost sorry for Delirium.
There are also lots of good items in the shop that help trigger synergies.
Take for example a boss like Monstro. It's not not particularly challenging, it's just a slog. Monstro I feel is the epitome of everything that feels bad about the base stats.
Then dont play this game if u only hoping for dmg ugrade and dont understand how to beat game even with slight dmg:D
U didnt even see the worst part of this game yet except not giving u dmg
How about you use less smileys, and use more reading comprehension. He clearly stated that it's not about beating the game (or the bosses), it's about the fact that bosses, especially later ones, just became a huge bullet sponge if you dont get at least some damage ups. It's not fun, it's just tedious.
I could even handle the occasional run where the no damage ups would happen, such as before Repentance.
Overall I am enjoying the expansion, but I do agree that I find lots of runs not having damage ups, or getting them extremely late game if at all.
