You could probably hit her if you go inside the lava.
For real though, the next update should be next week so hopefully it'll be resolved by then. Either that or it's just intended item behaviour, like Dr. Fetus also being really bad in the fight due to the way it works.

Thank god i had mom's transformation (and a lot of health) then i just launched myself inside his mouth letting the knife do all the work.

Wait, you actually went into the lava and killed her that way? That's pretty awesome, just don't turn it into a habit.

Yeah i've had the same issue but I somehow killed it from above ( you can still shoot straight if you aim up or down )
