Questions about COOP

I am having a lot of fun playing coop with my friends.

I am almost always unlocking tainted characters with the coop but here a question, can a player 2 or player 3 unlock his tanted version opening the door for the tainted unlock or will it always be player 1? I didn't try yet

If I have two characters that NEVER defeated the Lamb and they both kill it as player 1 and 2 in coop, will I unlock both items and achievements?

Only player 1, as far as I know.

Hello, I found out you are right, the red marks appear on the player 2 page (on selection screen) but I didn't get the achievements, is that right
