The Forbidden Transformations
Am I the only one who think that transformations like the Bookworm and Conjoined ones represent just the beginning of something bigger?

GUPPY (8)
KUMIHO
you need to collect all the guppy’s related items during the same run (after picking at least three related items, you will receive a trinket that, while held, gives you a 35% chance of finding related items on the next pedestals). Every time you lose one of your lives, your damage , speed and tears rate increase but you will gradually lose physical control , which means your character has a chance to refuse new items, drops and effects provided by passive and active items previously taken. The number of gone lives determines the stats upgrade and the chance of the physical control loss.

BEELZEBUB (25)
ENLIL
you need to collect all the fly’s related items during the same run (after picking at least three related items, you will receive a trinket that, while held, gives you an 85% chance of finding related items on the next pedestals). Your tears have a chance (affected by luck ) to perform a combined Black Hole and Holy Light effect when hitting an enemy. In addition, you get the Duality item effect: every time you collect an item from the Angel Room pool, you will get a soul heart and your tears rate/size increase; if it’s from the Devil Room pool, you will receive a black heart and your damage increase, but the shot speed will decrease.

MOM (19)
GAIA
you need to collect all the mom’s related items during the same run (after picking at least three related items, you will receive a trinket that, while held, gives you a 75% chance of finding related items on the next pedestals). Every time you kill an enemy, you will become sadder : this will provide a temporary boost on the tears rate , and every tear leaves a trail that deals damage to the enemies. These effects will last 2 seconds per enemy killed.

LEVIATHAN (10)
ZARATAN
you need to collect all the evil’s related items during the same run (after picking at least three related items, you will receive a trinket that, while held, gives you a 45% chance of finding related items on the next pedestals). You become Stompy and your size increases like you had taken three one makes you larger pills. In a room with enemies, the more you stay still (no shooting too) the more buffs you get: after 3 seconds , a rock will spawn in front of you, blocking possible attacks; after 5 seconds , you will receive a temporary baby that automatically attack the enemies; after 8 seconds , the enemies will be confounded like the Camo Undies effect; after 10 seconds , the enemies will be charmed and hit each other; as soon as you move or shoot, every buff will disappear. Bonus : if you get hit by a fire attack, you activate the Flush! effect.

SERAPHIM (17)
METATRON
you need to collect all the angel’s related items during the same run (after picking at least three related items, you will receive a trinket that, while held, gives you a 70% chance of finding related items on the next pedestals). Every time you get hit, you get a chance to discover in the current floor pedestals an item related to the damage received: e.g., explosions > Pyromaniac , Host Hat , etc. / projectiles > size down , Psy Fly , Trinity Shield , etc.

CONJOINED (29)
ATARGATIS
you need to collect all the baby’s related items during the same run (after picking at least three related items, you will receive a trinket that, while held, gives you a 90% chance of finding related items on the next pedestals). You take the form of The Siren boss, giving your babies an improved fire rate similar to the Forgotten Lullaby effect, but much stronger. In addition, all the babies will circle around you protecting from the projectiles.

BOOKWORM (15)
APOLLO
you need to collect all the book’s related items during the same run (after picking at least three related items, you will receive a trinket that, while held, gives you a 65% chance of finding related items on the next pedestals). It gives you the Guppy’s Eye and The Mind ability. Plus, you gain homing tears and fly ability.

They may sound op, but will you be able to achieve them? :flowey:

Multi-tier transformations sound like a cool idea

Might make victory laps and game breaks more fun
It's just not possible. Unless every item you get in the run is either a book or a familiar... even then I think It's still not possible.
Edit: There are 13 books, which makes it more possible than the other transformation, which would require 31 items... still very hard to get all 13 books in one run...

maybe, when you get the first transformation, you will receive a trinket that increase the chance to find related pedestals (?)

obtaining either of those would basically require breaking the game (especially the baby one since they are present in several item pools unlike books), so I think the bonuses those transformations provide would be redundant due to power spike breaking provides

All babies? All books? Give us a more reasonable one like 5-7 babies/books to finish the transformation, or maybe include more transformations based on the amount you have, like gaining x amount of books gives you guppy's eye while gaining another x amount gives you the mind and so on.

Well, I nothing but published a general and still unfinished idea. You can give me tips like reducing the number of correlated items or obtaining bonus items as you said, right?
