There always is one, if you carry a Red Key or Cracked Key.
No, there has always been an outline to indicate where to use the key. You need to be holding the key, though.
Anyways, the issue resolved when I restarted the game, but I'm still not sure what caused it.
This is the case on all other floors, but in Home it was never outlined. Now whether that was done on purpose or not is a different question
Oh I think I've always unlocked this door after sleeping, meaning when home is in the dark.
I may be wrong, but the red door may be invisible when you're in the dark.
The other pattern I recall is that I've always used a cracked key, not the actual red key.
