If I understand the formulas correctly:
In Normal Mode, a single point in Luck is worth about 50% more room drops.
In Hard Mode, it's only about 11% more room drops of a significantly lowered base drop rate.
It's not that great of an item, but makes Cain feel a little bit luckier. Plus, knowing these facts, makes playing Fortune Telling Machines way more worth it - because they're pretty useless in this current version, in my opinion.
