Eve is bad

Let me start it off. Eve's base damage sucks. You have to hit the small spiders 3 times to actually kill them which kinda sucks. If any of you have played dota before then it's like playing right click carry techies. I admit that when you stock up on soul hearts/evil hearts and have 1 heart then she is pretty good in terms of damage but I almost never get a devil room and in the runs I do get them, I rarely find soul hearts/evil hearts. I rarely get damage up items as well as getting bad pills like bad trip. Because of this, it has caused me to have a -10 streak :( If anyone has any tips then that would be great. Thnx

Dont take any pills on the first floor untill you finish it. Then, before activating those pills, damage yourself to 1 heart. That way, balls of steel is actually a good thing. Avoid red hearts and also be wary for items that give you hp or regeneration.

Eve actually one of the best in my opinion. If you can get guppy's paw to convert your hearts to soul hearts, donate your blood, or make deals with the devil.

Starting stats, W. of Babylon gives Eve about 50% more damage and significantly faster movement than Isaac. The only advantages Isaac has over Eve before unlocking the d6 are a single heart container and a single bomb. (And I'm assuming you haven't unlocked the d6 if Eve is giving you trouble.)

If you're having trouble with Eve that Isaac hasn't given you, that suggests your problem is almost entirely due to taking too much damage. Taking frequent damage encourages you to hold a bigger red heart buffer, which knocks you out of W. of Babylon state, and burns your temporary health faster than you can replace it, locking you out of devil deals.

If that's the case, there aren't a lot of tips that will solve your problem. The Binding of Isaac has a classical arcade difficulty curve. Only time will teach you enemy behaviors and shooting patterns so that you can avoid taking damage effectively.

No I'm not taking red heart damage. Does it count if I take soul heart damage?

I assure you that I have the D6. You can check my achievements on my profile. But the thing is, I always seem to get bad pickups as eve. I'm on a lazarus run right now (taking a break from eve) and I get all these damage up items whereas when I was eve, I rarely got those. Idk man, I just feel unlucky while playing eve.

Oh and BTW (kinda off topic), are the key pieces only available in the angel room? And how difficult are these angels? I just got the "Angels" achievement 3 days ago so I'm not sure about them.

Good and bad seeds happen. You handled yourself with blue baby, so you'll definitely get there with Eve. Taking a break from her and clearing frustration is a very sane decision, though.

Edit: Huh, topic didn't update.
To the best of my knowledge, you can't reroll any pedestals into key pieces, so you have to bomb the angel room statutes to spawn the bosses and get them to drop.
The bosses themselves aren't too bad. They telegraph their attacks clearly, and their movement isn't erratic/unpredictable.
The main thing to note is that you'll tend to be missing some common damage ups/tear modifiers you'd usually snag from devil deals.

Yes, the Key Pieces are only on Angel Rooms, you must bomb the angel statue and then defeat it. They are not too difficult, but if you have only your base damage it will take a while to kill them.

It sometimes acts as a tinted rock, but that's ultra rare, and that's all that can happen.

Soul Hearts are very important, you'll definetely want to get the devil deal on Basement II so you can dispose of your hearts. Don't keep more than 2 red containers at a time unless you get something like Magic Mush.

Nah, Eve is the best character you just don't know how to play it. [BASEMENT] Try to search for tinted rocks, blow them but don't grab any hearts. At the end of the floor, if the boss drops HP UP, take it and make sure to lose those hearts in a fire or something to activate the ♥♥♥♥♥ of Babylon, then grab the soul heart and down to the next floor. Avoid taking a lot of HP UPs and NEVER, NEVER take Placenta. Always go to arcades to donate blood. IV Bag is one of the best items because it makes sure to always keep the sweet ♥♥♥♥♥.
Black Candle and Match Book are good as well because they're evil up and increase the odds of you getting Deals with the Devil and get away with those hearts allowing you to stay in the ♥♥♥♥♥ state. Guppy's Paw is awesome too
