as tainted forgotten, gnawed leaf is actually insanely good. you can pick the bones up and move around and you're invincible unless you shoot

Plus, the way the bonepile works by default is close enough to an active Gnawed Leaf to have a lot of the same synergies.

Yeah, mixed with Rocket in a Jar is dangerous, but also it shoots rockets instead of bombs, and that makes it easier to hit Monsters! But only when you hit up down or right, I think...
