hallo, interesting, I hate to tell you that probably your sensor is broken. It happen to me often. And Isaac is very sensitiv when it comes to loose hardware sensores, really every other game does not have this issues just isaac. It is like your running full speed up and down but when you changes direction is 30 percent of speed, right!--- Well it´s your pad, buy an another one if you like to play Isaac nicely. And don´t by the xbox brand, there are other much cheaper ones out there same as good and if you play Isaac a lot, you will break the next one too. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr damn Isaac

@Noodles any way for testing if its my sensor that is broken ? In steam testing it seems to be working fine. And yeah its exactly like you described, moving vertically is with no issues, but other than that it moves much slower.

Belive me, it is the sensor. And also it´s not broken for a lot of other games. It is for Isaac. I don´t no coding but there is something in the code for movement what makes Isaac very very sensitiv if something is not right with your stick sensor. Buy a nacon pad, it´s good in my opinion and it is around 20 bucks. It doesn´t hurt so much if another one gets busted. cheers

if anyone has same problem with steam controller i found the solution, changing joystick input from linear to steep in advanced settings solves the issue. I now get top speed both diagonally and vertically with no drawbacks.

I can't find out where the advance controller settings are ever since steam has updated. Someone please help me I can't play Isaac and I'm losing my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mind.

Top left corner of Steam's window --> Steam --> Settings --> Controller --> Advanced Calibration & Settings. Note that the solution mentioned above specifically mentions the Steam Controller.

If it's not there or if you're using a different type of controller, there should be be box to the right side of Steam's window, when highlighting this game in your library, called "Controller" with a "View controller settings"-button. That brings up a window, where you can pick or edit controller layout-templates. You may need to enable Steam Input first (you may just be prompted to do so when first getting into the template menu). Then just pick the default template and edit it. The advanced analogue options are at the "Joystick"-tab, next to the dropdown-menu, also named"Joystick" is a cogwheel-icon you can click on to get to the option, to set it from "Linear" to "Aggressive" (which i assume is the "Steep"-equivalent, but you'll have to trial&error it yourself).

I encountered a similar thing, and unplugging and replugging the controller worked
