It's not out for Mac and probably never will be.
should probably ask steam about it.
is it unfortunate the base game supports more platforms than the DLC? yes.
is it an error? no. apple has been alienating a lot of cross-platform developers for a while now.
on the other hand, official linux support isn't currently available either, and it isn't clear if that's going to change. edmund seemed uncertain about that.
images below show the clearly indicated platform icons.

while this is all true, there is no mac support for proton unfortunately.
mostly due to apple's insistence on pushing metal instead of supporting vulkan (and has long since deprecated opengl, so that's stuck on an ancient version and might disappear at any time). further moltenvk is nowhere near sufficiently complete to support enough of dxvk for proton support on mac to make sense.
fwiw, it's been working fine for me in linux under proton using 5.9 GE, even through the latest update. (loaded the game just now to double-check)
my strategy for these threads is to try to answer the questions because of the likelihood that other, less hostile users might stumble across the thread looking for information.
after all, in a forum you aren't just addressing who you're responding to, you're also addressing people who may come by in the days, months, or years that follow.
you aren't wrong, tho.
i have no clue what proton is - so is there a chance i can play it anyway?
thanks in advance
Why do people insist on playing games in general in a Mac PC?
i play most games on PS5
