Mods not working even after the update? (Repentance)

So the new update announced that mods would be available again. And the option for mods is black again, as it should be. However, I downloaded Repentance-compatible mods and when I try to activate them, not only are they still greyed out, my cursor is also missing so I can't even select them.
Any ideas on what to do? I've already un- and reinstalled them again.

What happens when you press tab in the mod menu exactly? (As written in the upper right corner of the screen.)

press tab to enable mods, also you select with arrow keys and enter lol.

Most likely because it isn't compatible with Repentance yet. Disable it for now, wait for the modder to update it.

Are you able to get unlocks with mods enabled? I've never modded my game before but I've been thinking about it, but I won't if I can't get achievements.

after you have defeated mom for the first time achievements wont be disabled for that save if you use mods

so they let people add mods but don't allow them for multiplayer ? yup they just made multiplayer trash. not worth playing if we can't use mods, give some players time and we'll just make our own multiplayer mode thanks to this sad excuse of an update.
