Any tips for getting far with Tainted Blue Baby?

I know what his various poops do, but I'm having a hard time getting far with him for some reason. I'm trying to use his poop a lot, but something tells me I'm missing something.

Honestly one should immediately discard gray and normal poops since they aren't very helpful. Also make sure to always store a bomb poop so you have an on-demand bomb. Besides that, focus on getting tear upgrades early on. Also don't be afraid to use all your poops on a boss, you'll get them back pretty quickly.

Nova your poops away at the start of a boss fight because you'll probably do enough damage over the course of it to get them all back.

Like with any character who has a Birthright effect enabled it's a definite priority.

Bear in mind that Blue Baby is technically a challenge character, if a fair bit less so than the others, so the lack of red hearts is now as crippling as it was always supposed to be.

Standing in the creep puddles boost his stats, and give his tears bonus effects if other poops are touching the creep.
