I am curious as to the consensus on which playable characters are liked and which are disliked. Collecting Data.
Reply with a list ordered favorite to least favorite characters to play as.

There's Azazel, there's Lilith, there was Cain until I actually unlocked the above two, and then there's everyone else. (Isaac with D6 and Apollyon would probably be in there if I was good enough at the game to make use of them)

2. Isaac (Nah, I'll have something else)
3. Eve (Cut yourself to become a demi-demon)
4. Samson (Punch yourself to become a demi-god)
5. Cain (Probably the least-special "great" character)
6. Apollyon (Nah, I'll take stats instead)
7. Judas (Funny fez man with funny book)
8. Azazel (Something something overrated something)
9. Lost (High-risk character, is actually fun while still being challenging)
10. Lazarus (Turns from a worst Isaac to a worst Judas, first life is essentially a walking devil-deal)
11. Lilith (Lackluster in normal gameplay, is capable of breaking Greed Mode in half)
12. ??? (Isaac, but he can only take soul hearts and has poops)
13. Keeper (Thank GOD you're getting a rework in Repentance)
14. Maggie (Is objectively not the worst, but I find her so incredibly boring compared to the other character. Even the Keeper is more interesting to play)

[SCARY and EVIL]

1. Dark Judas (rare to play as but worth the reward, fun and powerful)
2. Eve (basically perfect for my playstyle)
3. Judas (beeg damage good)
4. Cain (less drastic Judas)
5. Forgotten (they are fun and cool with the split health mechanic but the soul feels a bit too strong)
6. Apollyon (Isaac but a little worse, therefore better)
7. ??? (Isaac but a lot worse, therefore a bit less better)
8. Isaac (broken but sometimes in a fun way)
9. Lost (can be fun with some patience, which is something I lack severely, but also why does this thing have the d4 that is literally one of the worst possible starting items for it)
10. Lazarus 2 (ok but not really worth it unless you're already playing as Lazarus)
11. Samson (I really am not a big fan of red hearts)
12. Azazel (broken but usually in a boring way)
13. Maggie (read 10, but add some stuff about how she's boring)
14. Lilith (cool in concept, not fun in execution, but at least she makes cursed eye good)
15. Lazarus (devil deal fodder, literally pointless except to play as Laz 2)
16. Playing with thumb tacks glued to your keys
