Donation Machine?
Is there a way to quickly overload the donation machine? I'm only at about 250 coins, and even that took a while. Is there like a seed that gives me the dollar or something?

(Yes I know this may be seen as laziness, please don't judge me)

you can't fil the donation machine on a custom seed, it disables it. the machine won't even appear.
the only advice I can give is try not to think about it. just do your normal runs, doing the other unlocks and try to put as many as possible in each run.
I always wait until the depths, in case theres something earlier I want to buy. I wait until the last possible shop then I put all my coins in.
although, many times, the last 2 shops will be gree and super greed, so i will usually start donating at depths 1.
if you really want to, you could just keep resarting until you get a good amount of coins on the first floor and then put them in and then die and start over again.

When I was filling up the donation, I always put all my money in it until it jammed. Then I felt free to continue the run as normal, buying whatever, etc.

But yeah, just playing the game the way you usually do is really the best advice. Try not to think about it, keep playing the game, keep progressing and unlocking things, and the donation machine will fill up before you know it. :)

Well if you really want to fill it up there is a glitch you can exploit where you can fill it up in one run. Found this on another forum post and it works

"i found this while playing with the lost.
find a donation machine ( one that allows you to donate more than 20 coins)
then save the game by, esc --> exit game( i saved the game a room before where the donation machine was)
after that just: donate as much as you can --> kill yourself( i did this way)--> alt +f4 before the "i died" message--> start game--> hit continue --> repeat
this will allow you to keep donating.
and yes, you get the achivments this way."

Doesn't necessarily need to be 20 coins but it does go faster that way. Apparently this method works for greed machine as well

what I'm wondering is if there's an easier way to fill up the greed machine...
even when I get up there and beat ultra greed and I actually have coins, the machine always jams somewhere between 8-15 coins.
I can understand the jamming in a regular run because it would be so easy to exploit the d20 or balnk card and get all 999 in a single run, but gree mode, it takes so long to get down there and then you get there with 50 coins and it jams up after 8.

at this rate, I'm gonna have to beat greed mode like 150 times to fill the machine, thats just ridiculous

Like I said you can scum the donation machine using the method I described.
Edit: meant to say greed machine

Does that work with Greed mode, though? That's what he's asking about.

Another option is to quickly do a few flooors as Azazel and just donate all the coins you find. That's what I did and it didn't take too long to fill it up.

Yes but eventually I got to a point where I could only donate 2 coins at a time so I decided to only use this method until that point because it's way too tedious. While the machine unjams each death the percentage does not, effectively making this method only good until you get terrible returns but you can easily do it quite a few times before that starts happening. I had planned on doing this again but had accidentally picked up pyromaniac earlier in my run making me immune to bombs. Luckily I still got over 80 coins in the machine in that run somehow before it jammed so that was awesome

I'd probably find half of these more helpful if I actually had Afterbirth (I'm too poor).

Original method I posted works fine in just rebirth

I know, I'm just refering to the ones about greed mode and stuff. Thanks for your responce.

The method I used involved Midas Touch for a good source of money, Glowing Hourglass, 9 Volt, and Battery (as insurance I'd have a charge). Every time I beat Ultra Greed, I would rewind using the Hourglass and fight Ultra Greed again to donate more. The machine is no longer jammed, but still has the money you donated before rewinding.

Isn't hourglass disabled in greed mode now?

this doesn't work for me...when I alt F4 and come back, the greed machine disappears.
so I guess I'm gonna have to beat greed mode 300 times in a row to fill up this machine.

well played, Edmund, you finally made the game impossible to get 100%

I suspect so, because I just had a run where I broke the game and could reroll the d6 infinite amount of times and I had chaos and i still exhausted the item pool and only rolled breakfast. interesting to note though, even after it starts rolling breakfasts, if you reroll enough times, like every 10-20 rerolls, it gives you another item.
I never saw that hourglass item in over 400 rerolls.
