Serpent's Kiss + Scorpio?

On my last Isaac run I had Serpent's Kiss, and then picked up Scorpio. I thought it would be an OP synergy with constant poisonings leaving behind fields of black hearts, but I don't think I ever got another black heart drop. Does Scorpio overwrite the Serpent's Kiss ability to get hearts from poisoned enemies?

Seed if anyone is interested, also has Stat Extender and both items by Caves I: R3KR SPVY

Edit: On replay it appears that Scorpio and Serpent's kiss have their own seperate poison effects, so you do get hearts very rarely.

I can confirm that serpants kiss + ipecac work together, beat the hush so easily with that combo.

serpents kiss with a decent tears stat and piercing is rlly all u need to beat hush, black hearts everywhere
