Tech X?

Can someone explain to me why people are praising this item? I personally think that the item is terrible. A charging item that does almost no damage. It is a run breaker unless you find good synergies with it.

It is good because it comes with a huge area of effect, dealing damage to a lot of things at once.
Granted, low damage with Tech x won't be nice ... but then again low damage with anything is problematic.

First time I got Tech X was when I beat Hush. It's not the best item in the game but it's definitely not bad.

The damage doesn't scale with the size of the shot (at least I don't think so) but it does pierce enemies and can affect a large area - great for dealing with groups. If you're fighting one thing, I find it's better to fire a bunch of smaller shots in quick succession rather than firing huge, fully charged shots.

It's especially great if you manage to get Spoon Bender and Epic Fetus. You're pretty much guarenteed to hit every enemy in the room.

I got it and wasn't too impressed but with a few damage upgrades and Lump of Coal I started to clear a bunch of rooms. Even beat greed with it not being to powerful but it still made destroying his coins much easier

Yes, I can. Tech X is a big area of effect spectral piercing shot. There you go. Protip - you don't have to charge your shot fully. 2 well aimed small rings can clear most of the rooms up to the womb.

And if your problem is that you can't hit things with it, well, it's your bad aim fault, isn't it?

So I had a really power Judas run with Brimstone+Tammy's Head. I got this Item in The Chest and I instantly lost after a couple of rooms. In my opinion, the item is as bad as the other Tech items. Additionally, Tammy's Head didn't retain Brimstone effect

I got to the chest with Lilith, and I had only 4 damage, but a lot of fire rate and lump of coal. When I picked up tech x it instantly messed up my run. I knew I dun goofed when it took 3 minutes to kill 2 gates. The problem was that it completely negated my fire rate, only leaving behind the damage which was abysmal. I could see myself taking it if I had a better build though.

I just finished a run as Eve where I had barely any damage but a high tears rate as well... I didn't pick up Soy Milk. Mom's Box + Cancer is just strong.

I had Pyromaniac + Ipecac, but couldn't resist getting Tech X. Yes I threw away a godlike combo due to the immortality it gives you and I had more fun after doing so.

This item is broken with lilith though, the size of the rings cant exceed more then the smallest one when using the incubus.
