Black Powder: Win or Fail?

So while doing a couple of challenge runs,(And they nearly broke me),


I stumbled upon the item Black Powder, the one that makes you draw satanic stars.

You guys think its a good item, a worth while item or the devil's Breath of Life? (Or what ever that Holy Spaghetti is.)

There is no such think like synergy with black powder. Draw Circle > Pentagram Showing what deals DMG.

This is a pretty good item and if i had the red hearts to spare, i'd take it. i wouldnt give away 3 spirit hearts for it probably although.

High speed its pretty damn good. Though since a good amount of the enemies hover late game its usefullness is limited.

Lets just back to main Threat shall we?

This item is great I only would not take it if i Need to maik a key to open mega satan doors or if that item was at mine first devi room. Well if you already get item from devil room and have anought hearts you should take it.

Even small circles (you can do it easy) can one shot a lot of enemies or maik heavy dmg to a lot of bosses. To maik small pentagrams you only need to walk like up and front (not like maiking a real circle) and pentagram will show up.

BTW I think (i didnt have that item for a long as time) it cost only 1 red heart.

[Honestly though]

from my using it it doesnt look that good i got it and tried it out but it didn't seem to damage anything i tried it on mom/her minions and it did seemingly nothing not worth the heart or the time taken to draw the circle

Well, anything that can give speed synergizes with it, because it allows for the creation of bigger circles. It's still underwhelming, considering the low damage and immunity, that a lot of enemies have against the circle.

It would be cool, if Black Powder would scale in damage, whenever an "Evil Up" item is picked up, similiar to the Black Feather trinket or if enemies, that die inside the pentagram are dropping Black Hearts.

I already write that speed + flying are only two things what can help making this item better. Black Feather is good with everything. You just should draw circle and stay in it doing some crazy stuff with items what you have. Pentagram disapear ... lets do new one. Because some rooms are biger then normal you always need to figure out how big your circle should be. Also You can try draw small circles with moving quick up left down right.
