The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth

What's the point?
Besides the awesome feeling of getting achievements in this game, what's really the point for completion anymore? From the looks of it (based on what I read through various sources of media), most things I unlock are co-op babies.
But I don't really care about co-op babies. I play this game by myself, so why would I (besides the achievement whoring I will be doing of course) care about unlocking those?

It'd just be nice if the non-co-op players got rewarded as well, I guess.

I dunno, because you like the game?

Do you really need a prize to everything? Playing's its own reward imo.

Don't get me wrong, I love playing the game, 500-ish hours into it so far, but I am just wondering why there's relatively many co-op baby rewards.

And it's not that I -need- a prize to everything (though it'd be fun), but as is Isaac meta, completion comes with rewards and my point is that the current rewards (while I do get it and am very happy for the co-op players out there that they get some nice stuff as well), it feels kind of.. anti-climactic for me as a single player, you know what I mean?

I agree. The only time I get to enjoy the many co-op babies is when I play P2 with my little brother, and he's terrible at the game. :/

it seems to me that with actual item ideas, they're kind of scraping the bottom of the barrel now. afterbirth has some really cool new items, but also several items, that all mimic your movment with a delay, and several familiars that just use an already existing tear effect.
