Does ANY item work on Azazel?

Trying to get good items so I can unlock Lilith. Can't use range items, a ton of items only work if you have actual tears, damage buffs don't affect him that much, etc. Every good roll I get, mostly involving Tammy's Head, are mostly good for killing bosses rather than clearing rooms due to Azazel's range. The sheer amount of useless items is getting to be a pain.

Well the range buff seems to be so tiny that it doesn't matter.

I found that the Tapeworm trinket helped tremendously when I unlocked Lilith. It really changes your range, and makes it a lot easier to use Azazel.

Ludovico works, double, triple and quadshot works.
Wiggle and hook worm work. Spoon bender works, tiny planet works.
According to some screenshots I noticed the other day, rubber cement now works and removes any range limit from the bouncing beam.

There are probably plenty of other things that work now too, but those I mentioned are the ones I still remember ... also Ludovico with Brimstone is a great combo.

Today's daily got quite ridiculous very quickly. I was oneshooting most bosses towards the end. Pity I didn't get a chance to try fighting hush with that setup.

Yeah, on second thought, I just have the worst luck in the world. In around 30 runs, I've only found tapeworm once (which brought me to losing against Ultra Greed only because I was fighting him for the first time). Haven't found Ludo, 2x/3x/4x shot, Rubber Cement, Monstro's Lung, nor either of the laser eyes at all. They aren't showing up in the shops no matter how many times I reroll, either. I found a D4 a couple runs ago, used that a bunch of times, and still didn't get any buff for his normal attack. It's like his blood laser is just cursed for me.

I managed to get that item that gives you remote control tears. They became a controllable laser donut of ultimate death. I combined it with Telekenisis for Dummies and bits of the laser donut jutted out and stuck to people.

That's what Ludovico does to brimstone and lasers. Transforms it into a ring of death.
