Book of Belial got nerfed???

I just realized while playing as Judas that Book of Belial no longer gives you a guaranteed Devil Room. At first I thought this was a bug, but after checking the wiki, it says that the % chance to proc a Devil Room spawn has been changed from 2500% to 25%.

Thoughts???

I think it gives the other books some more reasons to go with them instead, it is a little sad though, balling out of control with Judas was quite fun.

Book of Belial is still probably top-tier compared to the other books.

I feel like this nerf really hurt Judas as a character because of his "glass cannon" playstyle. With the high risk/high reward playing him in Rebirth, you could get Devil Rooms to make up for his low starting health if you played it right. Now that they're not even guaranteed in Afterbirth, he's not nearly as strong without Devil Rooms for every floor.

Yep, it's gone from guarenteeing the devil room to a +3% chance (Something like +3.125% I think, if you want to get REAL specific)

It does seem really daft to nerf an item, That a character ultimately relied on to be useful.
And let's face it. All this is going to do is make players choose the next OP character.
Not that i myself thought that Judas was over powered. But someone must of complained about it.

Judas was actually my favorite choice whenever I just wanted to have easy going fun so I can understand why he got nerfed indirectly and the book itself was already a top choice active item.

The book still is a top choice I'd say and I still would choose Judas because he does not only have a danage multiplier already but when one dies with Judas due to one unlucky hit, it is at the beginning of a run anyway. Eve is btw my least favorite choice.

Eve seems a lot better than Judas now IMO

If it really is just a 3% chance to Devil Rooms, I am definitely reconsidering doing Judas runs - especially with the addition of so many new Champions in Hard Mode that can deal 1 (even 2!) full hearts of damage.

Original is a lot better! The only reason I bought Rebirth is because of new content, but in many ways in terms of balance, difficulty, music, smooth graphic and designs Original Isaac a lot better.

The reason, why I bring this is because of how easy Rebith is in comparison with original Isaac and complaining about things that balance this game is silly. Personally I would nerf 75% of items in Rebirth.

Eh, Book of Belial still serves amazingly as an early game damage booster, and still does get much less useful in the late game.

Book of Belial is a +25% chance for devil deals, compared to say the pentagram which is +20%, its still a significant increase to the devil deal chance, and +2 damage on the first 4 or so floors along with Judas's damage multiplier is huge.
