what does the host hat do?

ive found it on multiple runs but it doesnt seem to do anything, anyone know?

If u mean the skeleton one, it prevents sometimes from getting hit by projectiles, then it opens and shoot triple shot power based on your dmg what you have at that moment, additionally it prevents you sometimes from taking dmg from the explosions, like normally a skeleton head monster would do, "crush" thing.
